Behind the sweet taste of mango, many health benefits are contained in it. Scientific studies show that mangoes are rich in fiber, quercetin, kaempferol, vitaminE, β-carotene, and vitamin C. As is known, fiber has a physiological role in the intestine where it helps food digest properly.
Quercetin, kaempferol, vitamin E, and β-carotene are known to be high sources of antioxidants. Vitamin C has the function of maintaining endurance, preventing premature aging, and helping the absorption of iron.
Mangoes also contain important minerals including potassium, selenium, copper, zinc, phosphorus. The high water content, which is about 84% of every 100 grams of mango, makes mangoes the choice for juice drinks.
