A Nutritious and Balanced Diet during the Covid-19 Pandemic
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) calls for the importance of maintaining a healthy diet during the Covid-19 pandemic. Launching the official US FAO website, the nutrients from the intake you consume are very important to help the body deal with infections, including the coronavirus, the source of Covid-19. When an infection occurs, the patient’s body will experience a fever. This condition requires energy from the intake of nutrients consumed. Maintaining a healthy, nutritious, and balanced diet is an important part of supporting the immune system. Therefore, as long as it is possible to buy and consume healthy foods, you are advised to do so. The following are guidelines for a healthy, nutritious, and balanced diet during the coronavirus pandemic:
1. Eat with complete composition. Consume foods with complete composition to meet nutritional intake. One of them is the Ministry of Health’s “My Plate” guidelines. Outside of main meal hours, consume fruits and vegetables as a snack or healthy snack.

4. Maintain food hygiene Even though Covid-19 is a disease that primarily attacks the respiratory tract, you still have to care about food safety. So far, there is no evidence that the disease can spread through food. However, you still need to protect yourself from disease by: Keeping your intake always hygienic. Separating raw and cooked food. Cooking until it is completely cooked. Use water and raw materials that are safe and clean.
