Have you ever seen bottled oxygenated water? Water that contains oxygen is predicted to be very good for health, you know. However, what’s the difference with ordinary water? As the name suggests, oxygen water is a type of mineral water that has been processed in such a way, then oxygen is added. In contrast to ordinary water, water containing oxygen has a much more oxygen molecular structure.

There is no significant difference to the body

As stated earlier, oxygen is an important component that the body needs which can be obtained from air. Well, the oxygen that is inhaled from the surrounding air is actually sufficient for the entire body’s oxygen needs, really. So in a healthy body condition, you don’t need additional oxygen intake from drinking water.

Until now, there is no clinical evidence that specifically mentions the significant difference between ordinary drinking water and water containing oxygen. However, a number of studies have proven that the benefits of drinking water with oxygen for the health of the body are the same, aka there is no difference. This means that water that contains oxygen does not have an advantage over ordinary drinking water.

To reveal the benefits contained in oxygenated water, a study was conducted in Germany. in this study the respondents were divided into two groups. The first group was given oxygen water, while the second group was given plain water. After 28 days researchers conducted a thorough examination to assess whether there was an increase in endurance and liver function in people who consumed oxygenated water.

The result, the researchers did not find any significant difference in the increase in the two groups. To strengthen the findings, other studies were also conducted in the United States. This time, the researchers used 2 groups of running athletes as respondents. The first group was given oxygen water and the other group was given plain water.

After the athletes completed the exercise by running 5 kilometers, researchers conducted an assessment of performance and the content of lactic acid in the blood. The result, the group who received oxygen water had a faster recovery time than athletes who drank plain water. However, the investigators were unable to find a significant difference in performance in the two groups.

From these studies, it can be concluded that the benefits of oxygen water to increase endurance or maintain organ function have not been proven. However, there is nothing wrong if you want to consume oxygenated water in everyday life. Because basically, oxygen water is ordinary plain water, it’s just that it is given an additional oxygen content. Read More !
